He does!

He still feels awful about her first day-ish and not being able to get everyone out of Hell in time to meet back up with her. He knows even if she's forgiven it, that doesn't mean she's forgotten it. And he's sure even if she knows it wasn't intentional and that they did their best, it doesn't change the fact he couldn't fulfill a promise to her on her first day. He worries that may have shaped or affected her longterm trust in him.

He's still trying to figure out her comfort levels and how to best support her. Especially after accidentally hitting her with a volleyball when trying to help distract her.... Everyone on Wild City is very different from him with very different memories and hang ups and he tries his best to be sensitive of those things and support them in ways they're comfortable with.

He appreciates that Plover wants to protect the team and he will let Whisky and Plover have their chance to play hard in the next game because they deserve their chance to feel their voices are heard. He never wants anyone on the team to feel powerless or unsupported.

That said, he does definitely think they need to get the ball rolling on Plover being able to read ASAP. For her comfort level since several times now her not being able to read has caused her stress.

He thinks she's very strong and that she's adapted well/quickly to this place. She has stepped up during the whole double amnesia episode and has folded into the rhythm of the team effortlessly. He appreciates that she is there for Coyote and can understand her and look out for her, since he and Coyote always seem to be on different wavelengths. He hopes she feels cared about and supported, but because her/coyote/north are all so new still....he definitely feels like he still has a long way to go on understanding and getting to know them. He wants to! And he's willing to listen! He just knows...there has been a lot of bad timing and unfortunate situations and such during her time as a newbie. L-low key feels like he failed the newbies and not sure how to make it up to them. But yes. Plover is soo good. Tries so hard. Cares for team. Very sweet. Much adaptable. Very resilient and strong.

i said this on plurk re: WC general so i'll put this here first:

-She Loves These Fucking Kids
-these are HERS
-she's actually like 500% more extremely possessive of them (most particularly talon, silver, coyote) than she actually shows at any given time but that's mostly because like
-nobody has challenged her on this front
-so she hasn't had to flip the fuck out over them
-she has a very dragon-hoarding-jewels-esque view of Her People but she also doesn't view them as like... being Lower than her, really?? she feels herself a bit higher in the hierarchy than she probably actually is but again it isn't really something that's been challenged or that she's needed to fight so she's PRETTY chill
-at current she is way more prone to getting overanxious about the other wild citys than she is getting aggressive towards them wrt stuff like safety, fighting, etc
-but honestly wc is so... flop... so their personalities mesh pretty well with hers and she stays reasonably calm in their spaces because of them
-wild city is good
-they're good and she loves them.


PLOVER LOVES THIS BOY, GEEZ

Honestly she's pretty easygoing so stuff like them tramping off into Hell or getting hit with a volleyball are mostly dust in the wind for her now. I mean, brought up again she'd definitely be like "OH YEAH I'M TOTALLY STILL MAD" but in practice it's mostly like ehhh. That said, with Silver in particular she's settled into seeing him as the more reasonable big brother for Talon and relatively sturdy and trustworthy. The early stuff legitimately hasn't affected her trust in him or the rest of WC at all, lol.

THAT SAID!! silver her baby, i say in the most joking way possible. she loves this boy he's hers and he makes her happy and she can just flop on him and he's chill with it always. She feels kind of bad for him; he was clearly pretty alarmed by her memories and wants to help with her whole deal but she sees herself as kind of a liability to a Good Person like him wrt what she's gone through/has to do and would much rather he didn't engage with that part of her at all, for his own sake. He seems like a nervous person and while she thinks he's strong in his own right she also sort of feels like he has a weak constitution for confrontation, maybe? She's still not sure what to think about this since she's never seem him in a real fight. But regardless, that feeling translates directly into "I will fuck up anything that so much as looks at this boy wrong"

Now that she's got a feeling for this place, how it works, the kind of people here, and the sort of bullshit her own memories are showing her... she deeply believes almost everyone on WILD CITY absolutely doesn't belong in this place and shouldn't have to deal with any of this. Silver and Talon top that list. So she's sort of doing what she can to protect them-- which mostly comes down to brute strength and intimidation, since that's about all she feels she can give. She's not a people-person, really.
