And now Talon and Silver! Which can be easily boiled down to Talon loves Silver. So much. I think a lot of it comes down to their first meeting when Silver encouraged him to be open about his feelings, and to come talk to Silver if he was ever feeling troubled or upset about things that happened here. The rest of Wild City did a lot for putting him on a solid path to trusting them all, but because Silver set himself up to be the emotionally intelligent one that Talon could rely on to help process emotions he can't quite get a handle on by himself, it's earned him way more points as time went on.
I don't want to say Talon trusts Silver more than anyone here, but he is absolutely in the top 3. (The other two are Whisky and Aries, so. About as expected for a WC kiddo.) He's not good at saying it, but he appreciates so much how much Silver's done to support him and help him find his footing here. He doesn't know who he'd be if he didn't have Silver around to help him understand how to relate to people on individual levels, or how to try to see things from someone else's perspective. And he knows he's still got a long way to go on learning that, but he's a lot further along than he would've been by himself.
And it's really the fact that Silver's done that for him that makes Talon trust him so completely. There are so many ways that he could've let Talon down, either just by not having the time for him, or not wanting to have the time for him, but he really never has. The worst thing he's done to Talon is like C, and even Talon isn't actually going to count that against him. He just knows that no matter what happens, Silver's going to have his back when he needs it, and will be there to listen to him and help sort through whatever frustration he's dealing with too.
And it's true that Talon absolutely does try to take on too much, and he knows it makes Silver worry. There is a part of him that feels guilty about it and thinks he should take a step back, but he's got a hero's heart. And they're all trapped in Hell. And he could not live with himself if he felt like he were slacking off on doing what he could to either improve their situation here (so Silver and others can relax a little), or to work towards escape (so Silver and others can relax forever). So he just feels bad about worrying Silver and has to live with that because he does believe what he's doing is the right thing to do.
But going back to Silver as a person—Talon just adores him. He may not be #1 trusted, but he's definitely the #1 person Talon wants to emulate. He thinks it's amazing how easily Silver can deal with people even when he hates it, and tries his best to listen to basically everything he has to say. Even if he disagrees on occasion, he thinks there's value in understanding where Silver's coming from on pretty much any topic. He's just an amazing guy in Talon's opinion, particularly because Silver's just a normal high school student dealing with being an amnesiac in Hell, and is still managing to be one of the most together people in the place. And Talon just admires the hell out of that. One day he'll be that cool too. '-'
