Talon doesn't do a whole lot of gesturing with people he's not comfortable with yet. Like, in his early days with WC he would've seemed kind of unnaturally still in addition to the whole constant wariness (keeping his back to a wall, constantly watching exits). He's a kid who doesn't like to give anything away, and that extends into his gestures and posture.
This has definitely toned down a lot in the month he's been in Imeeji. Still insists on keeping his back to a wall when he's outside of WC, but he'll allow little gestures to slip through. Small stuff like little hand motions to emphasize something he's saying, or allowing himself to slouch or roll his eyes if he's unimpressed with someone. His confidence has gone up a lot too, so he's much more aggressive when he's angry with someone—stepping into their personal space, tilting his head back with defiance or challenge, aggressive pointing, etc.
Generally his body language is very controlled even with what he allows to slip through. The more telling bits of body language he has are things like fists clenched at his side, grit teeth, any time he gets fidgety (which he will constantly make himself stop before starting up again). Those are more things he does when he's trying to suppress or hide how angry or upset he is, and it's usually paired with his verbal language becoming way more formal. Either he's struggling to process emotions that he'd rather not deal with, or he's just struggling to not express them at all.
The only time he really stops making such an effort to control it is when he's with a member of Wild City or in their dorms. It's the only time he'll slouch just to relax, and he's pretty comfortable with all the physical affection they like to shower him with. He's slowly warming up to initiating that on his own—particularly after Silver outright asked for a hug when he came back from hiatus. That helped break down one of the lingering barriers he had there.
But yeah, in general he's a lot freer with things like talking with his hands, making grand and dramatic gestures (like idk, leaping to higher ground to make a dumb point to Coyote or something), and makes more effort not to hide when he's hurt or upset around them. So he'll do things like hunch his shoulders or allow himself nervous gestures like biting his lip or fidgeting with a pen or pencil, rubbing old scars or injuries, etc. Basically is just a lot more comfortable letting them see him doing things that he feels are more childish, or expose some sort of weakness he has. (Thinks he has, anyway)
